KATHREIN Broadcast presents innovative solutions for the expansion and modernization of broadcast networks
- Resource-efficient modernization of existing networks
- Targeted network densification through low-power DAB transmitters
- Partnerships as growth drivers
With new solutions for broadcast and digital networks, KATHREIN Broadcast GmbH is focusing on innovation, resource efficiency, and cooperation. At IBC 2025 in Amsterdam (September 12–15), the company will showcase, among other highlights, retrofit solutions for FM networks as well as a compact low-power DAB transmitter developed in cooperation with Digris and PrecisionWave.
The new FM retrofit solutions feature an optimized design that makes the use of existing FM infrastructures more efficient and cost-effective. Instead of replacing entire systems, network operators can modernize their installations in a resource-conserving way and reduce operating costs.
The compact low-power DAB transmitter, developed in collaboration with partners Digris and PrecisionWave, is particularly suitable for closing coverage gaps (“gap filling”) as well as supporting local and regional services such as community radio. Partnerships like those with Digris AG and PrecisionWave AG are a key part of KATHREIN Broadcast’s corporate strategy, enabling the company to leverage synergies.
“Innovation for us means making existing networks smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. With our solutions, we demonstrate how technology creates real value – for network operators, for listeners, and for the future of resilient communication,” said Jörg Lippert, designated CEO of KATHREIN Broadcast GmbH.
IBC is recognized as the world’s most important trade show for media, entertainment, and broadcast technologies. For KATHREIN Broadcast, it provides the ideal platform to present innovations and engage directly with customers and partners about the future of resilient networks. Visitors can find the company in Hall 8, Booth C51.
